There is great excitement in Uganda about Pope Francis’ planned visit in November 2015. The Pope will also visit Central African Republic and possibly Kenya. Uganda will register a record of African countries that have been visited three times by reigning Popes .
The only other African countries to have been visited by at least two reigning popes are Cameroon, Angola and Benin, all visited by popes, John Paul II and Benedict XVI. read more
